EDIT: It has come to my attention not everybody knows how to make this work, so what you do to select attacks is first click the screen (so the game recognizes your keystrokes), press the arrow keys to move the courser, press "Z" for yes and "X" for no.
Update: 9:06 PM Wednesday 6/22/2011 Added some motion blurring and CLOUDS.
Update: 4:31 PM Monday 6/20/2011 I fixed some graphical errors and improved other aspects that were bugging me, and I programmed in Wrap. Though, like everything else it's incomplete, so now it's just a weak attack that looks cool |D (will finish LATER) (also it has no sound... yet.) EDIT: 4:37 same date Apparently the button spazzed out for some reason. Fixed that though.
Update: 11:59 PM Wednesday 6/15/2011 I added the option to use Growth and enhanced some of the audio. After I'm done with all Snivy's moves, I'll add an AI for Audino, give her attacks, actually program fainting, and finally FINISH HILBERT'S BACKSPRITE. Then do something else
Original post: IT HAS MUSIC.
Okay, since I moved to this account, I decided just not to update my .swf on my old account and upload my newer progress here. Seems fair enough, yes? As you can see, I added attack data for Vine Whip and Leer. Leer isn't finished yet (gotta add that "Audino's defense fell!"), but it's playable... Unless you pick Growth or Wrap.
But anyway, I did not finish Hilbert's backsprite, yes. I'll get to that laaaaater. I also did not give an Audino an AI yet. So now you get to freely kick the crap of a wild Audino. That can't die. Yes, I also have not programmed fainting yet. c:
I like it! Although, it might just be my computer, but I think it's a bit slow... and If I were you I'd use a longer sample of the music. Still, it looks really good! The animations are really smooth!
Your comment may be a few months old but I'll reply anyway
Thank you for your compliment; regarding the slowdown, I think it might be your browser. I have an excellent computer and this has some slowdown on Chrome, whereas on other computers using a standard SWF player or even internet explorer it runs at a full 60 frames per second. So... I don't know. Results may vary!
I haven't worked on this in a long time; you know how life is, all demanding and stuff. However, I may be working with some fangame creators in the future thanks to this, and I mean ones who actually know what they're doing. :3
Why thank you I made a few bad desicions though, such as negligable effects (clouds) that ended up lagging Flash. SWFs can only playback so fast even on the most beastly of PCs I suppose.
I'm planning on continuing this project, but if I do, I need to switch to an actual game engine such as Unreal Engine 3 in order to continue, since only then can the true beauty of this project shine, what with all the amazing particle, lighting, and 3D effects of Unreal
